(1) In all ships to which these regulations apply, a radio officer in the case of radiotelegraph ship, or a radiotelephone operator in the case of a radiotelephone ship shall, while at sea, carry out the appropriate equipment tests and battery and reserve power checks specified in Schedule 2.
(2) If any of the radio equipment required by these regulations is not in working order, the radio officer or radiotelephone operator shall report that fact to the master and record the details in the radio log.
