(1) The Commissioner may serve a notice on a person prohibiting the person from supplying a toy or children's product for a specified period not exceeding 6 months, if¡X
(a) for a toy, the Commissioner reasonably believes that it¡X
(i) does not comply with any applicable requirements contained in a toy standard, or any additional safety standard established by regulation; or
(ii) may not comply with the general safety requirement under section 8;
(b) for a children's product, the Commissioner reasonably believes that it¡X
(i) does not comply with any requirements contained in a children's product standard that is specific to the product, or any additional safety standard established by regulation; or
(ii) may not comply with the general safety requirement under section 8. (Replaced 5 of 2010 s. 10)
(2) A person who is served with a prohibition notice and fails or refuses to comply with it commits an offence.
