(1) A consumer shall be responsible for ensuring that the consumer's installation belonging to him or used by him or under his control is maintained in a safe condition and in all respects fit for supplying electricity.
(2) Any person who contravenes this regulation shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on summary conviction to imprisonment for 3 months and a fine of $2000 and, in the case of a continuing offence, to a further penalty of $100 for each day during which the offence continues.
