All identity cards—

(a) issued before 23 June 2003, or issued on or after 23 June 2003 as a result of an application made before that date; and

(b) bearing a date of birth in any year before 1942, or in 1942, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 or 2003,

shall cease to be valid on 30 November 2008.
