(1) No person shall use or occupy any premises as a slaughterhouse, except under and in accordance with a licence issued by the Director upon payment of the prescribed fee according to the maximum number of animals permitted to be slaughtered in the premises.
(2) A licence shall be subject to such conditions and restrictions as may be imposed by the Director under section 125(1) of the Ordinance.
(3) A licence shall be valid for a period of 12 months from the date of issue and may be renewed upon payment of the prescribed fee according to the maximum number of animals permitted to be slaughtered in the premises.
(4) Where the Director is satisfied that a licence is lost or destroyed, the Director may upon payment of the prescribed fee issue a duplicate.
