The normal range of the radiotelephone transmitter provided in accordance with these regulations shall not be less than 150 miles. The range of a radiotelephone transmitter for the purpose of these regulations shall normally be determined by calculation of the metre-amperes. Where an antenna arrangement causes difficulties in determining the range of a transmitter by calculation, the range shall be determined by test.
