(1) The owner of an aerial ropeway shall not permit the operation of any car on that ropeway if-

        (a) the car door locking system is not in safe working order;
        (b) any part thereof is deformed or broken; or
        (c) it has any opening which exceeds 130 mm in width. (L.N. 122 of 2003)
(2) The owner of an aerial ropeway shall post up in every car on that ropeway, and keep in good condition, notices in English and Chinese-
        (a) warning of fires and prohibiting smoking;
        (b) stating the maximum number of passengers permitted to be carried;
        (c) stating the maximum weight permitted to be carried;
        (d) prohibiting the carriage of livestock or pets;
        (e) stating the goods which may not be carried in the car; and
        (f) warning that stoppages may occur due to the operation of automatic controls and that there is no cause for alarm.
