An immigration officer or immigration assistant may permit a person who is a member of the crew of a ship and does not enjoy the right of abode in Hong Kong to land in Hong Kong notwithstanding that he has not been examined under section 4(1)(a); and in any such case notice of any condition of stay imposed in respect of such person shall be deemed to have been given to that person if it is given to the captain of the ship or the owners or agents of the ship.
