(1) A manager may in writing direct-

        (a) the owner of a food animal in an abattoir; or
        (b) any person appearing to the manager to be in charge of a food animal in an abattoir,
to remove the food animal from the abattoir to a licensed slaughterhouse for slaughter. (L.N. 329 of 1990)
(2) Any person who fails to comply with a direction given to him by a manager under subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence. (78 of 1999 s. 7)
