(1) A person commits an offence who, without lawful authority or reasonable excuse, discharges or otherwise deals with any arms or ammunition in a manner likely to injure, or endanger the safety of, any person or property or with reckless disregard for the safety of others.
(2) A person who commits an offence under subsection (1) is liable on conviction upon indictment to imprisonment for 7 years.
