The insulating material referred to in section 9(1)(b) of this Regulation shall-
(1) provide thermal insulation not less than that provided by a wooden deck 57 millimetres thick;
(2) be such that it is non-combustible, that is to say, insulating material which when heated to a temperature of 750¢J (1382¢K) neither flames for longer than 10 seconds duration, nor raises either its internal temperature or the temperature of the test furnace more than 50¢J (90¢K) above 750¢J (1382¢K) when tested in accordance with an established test procedure to the satisfaction of the Authority;
(3) (a) either not contain any substance which may cause corrosion of the deck on which it is laid; or
(b) be fitted only to a deck which is protected from corrosion by a coating supplied for that purpose;
(4) be fitted by means of an adhesive or otherwise so as to affix it securely to the deck.
