Under section 2A of the Laws (Loose-leaf Publication) Ordinance 1990 (51 of 1990) (¡§Loose-leaf Ordinance¡¨), the Secretary for Justice is empowered to make editorial amendments in an Ordinance published in the Loose-leaf Edition of the Laws (¡§loose-leaf edition¡¨), subject to the overriding principle that the amendments must not change the legal effect of any Ordinance. Under section 2B of the Loose-leaf Ordinance, the Secretary for Justice has to compile a record containing descriptions of editorial amendments made (¡§editorial record¡¨), and publish the record in the loose-leaf edition. The effective date of the editorial amendments is specified on the front page of the editorial record.

Users should refer to the loose-leaf edition for the official version of editorial records. The electronic version of the editorial records posted below is to facilitate public access to the editorial amendments and is for information only.
